Bonbon RZ heeft een goede kwaliteit, gemiddelde vruchtgrootte en een goed gevulde komkommer. Het was het eerste ras dat in Noordwest-Europa onder het Bon Defense label werd geintroduceerd. Bonbon heeft ook een intermediate resistentie tegen meeldauw. De groeikracht is goed en de groei stabiel.
